25th Annual Boy Scout Car Show revs up Saturday in Peconic

A local favorite tradition is back Saturday as th 25th Annual Boy Scout Car Show brings auto enthusiasts out for the fun in Peconic.

The event, presented by Southold’s Boy Scout Troop 6, runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Peconic Lane School, on Peconic Lane and includes antique, steam, classic, collector, street rod, custom cars and trucks, with a cut-off date of 1994. Participants should have cars on the field by noon.

Families can also enjoy a picnic area, playground, refreshments and food; bring a blanket.

Also, 100 trophies and dash plaques will be presented to the first 200 show cars.

Pre-registration show car and driver cost $15, and $20 at the gate. Preregistered cars prior to 1942 are free. Cars for sale, add $20.

General admission is $5, with kids under 12 with parent free.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Southold’s Boy Scout Troop 6.
