Jean S. Young, of Riverhead, died July 15, 2014. She was 86 years old.
Young was born on December 13, 1927 in Utica, NY to John and Marion (Prindle) Strobel.
She went on to be a teacher in the Quogue School District.
Predeceased by her husband, Richard in 1996, and sons Gary and Dale in 2005 and 2006, respectively, she is survived by her sons Kim of Massachusetts, Leigh of Riverhead, Glenn of Pennsylvania and Terry of Wisconsin. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and two great-grand children.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home, 406 E. Main St. Riverhead. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at Old Steeple Community Church in Aquebogue.
