The Greenport Fire Department were on the scene of an electrical fire in an air condiitoner duct at the Rhumline restaurant on Front Street Friday afternoon, police said.
According to merchants in the area, officials were telling everyone to stay off the sidewalk; the fire broke out at approximately 12:30, officials said.
No further information was immediately available.
