Stop DWI patrol nets three for drunk driving in Southold Saturday night

An East End Stop DWI Task Foce nabbed three in Southold Saturday night, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the saturation patrol took place between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. Police said they arrested three and charged them with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, including Estaban Tocay, 25, of Greeport, Yimi Ochoa, 22, of Greeport, and Faye Miller, 24, of East Marion.

Other charges included criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation, and other vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

Taking part in the patrol were officers from Southold, Shelter Island, Suffolk County, and Suffolk County Park Police and New York State Troopers.

Numerous vehicles were stopped and in addition to the arrests, drivers were cited for violations including driving with a suspended license, driving with no license, and improper lane use, police said.

Those arrested were arraigned in Southold Town court on Sunday morning, police said.
